The Hussman School of Journalism and Media

I was able to transfer credits into the Hussman School of Journalism and Media as I enrolled in the Dual Degree Program in Environment and Science Communication my senior year of undergrad. This program is where I worked towards her M.A. in Media and Communication.

During my time as a graduate student, I mentored new graduate students at UNC through the graduate student mentorship program. I also took part in weekly graduate student social hours, introducing out-of-state students to new places in and around Chapel Hill.

During my time as a graduate student at UNC, I had wonderful opportunities to work with clients via co-op educational experiences and added some amazing classes to my belt. I continued my internships from undergrad throughout my time as a graduate student, with some internships turning into continued job experiences.

For my thesis, I was able to receive guidance and mentorship from a fantastic committee. My thesis committee comprised Dr. Hee, Assistant Professor Lisa Villamil, and Dr. Hester, my thesis chair.
