Professional Experiences

Professional Summary

I am a strategic communications professional with a dynamic blend of experience spanning environmental research, corporate marketing, research communications, community engagement and healthcare development. Over the course of my career, I have built and managed communications infrastructure, led marketing and outreach initiatives, and executed strategic programs that strengthen organizational visibility, community connections, and philanthropic impact.

My early work in environmental research with the Coastal Reserve combined field research and public engagement, where I supported sea turtle nest protection, bird-banding programs, and marsh habitat studies while contributing to environmental outreach initiatives. This experience instilled a foundation in data-driven storytelling, stakeholder engagement, and translating complex information into actionable community impact.

In the corporate arena at Align Technology, I collaborated across cross-functional teams to develop professional marketing content, implement brand and campaign strategies, and support product launches across North America. Beginning as a summer intern and continuing part-time through my undergraduate and graduate studies, I gained comprehensive experience across all marketing channels and learned to execute communications strategies at scale for a global healthcare technology organization.

As Communications Specialist for the Carolina Center for Healthy Work Design and Worker Well-being, a federally funded NIOSH Center of Excellence, I built the organization’s communications infrastructure from the ground up. Starting with only a website, I launched webinars, social media platforms, and blog content while implementing structured workflows to create a sustainable, research-aligned digital presence. I later extended this work part-time to NC OSHERC, strengthening communications across overlapping initiatives, digital platforms, and stakeholder engagement efforts, ensuring cohesive visibility for research, academic programs, and community outreach.

Transitioning to healthcare engagement and development, I served as Community Relations Coordinator at Broward Health, supporting all five corporate hospital locations and coordinating initiatives across 19 municipalities in northern Broward County. I developed county-wide community events, cultivated partnerships with local organizations, and expanded the hospital’s outreach footprint, enhancing both visibility and engagement in diverse communities.

Most recently, as Senior Development Coordinator at Holy Cross Health, I integrated strategic communications, operational management, and program development to advance philanthropic initiatives. I personally processed over $20 million in gifts for FY25–FY26, including $4 million in December alone, and supported the launch and growth of the Grateful Patient Program, expanding physician participation from 80 to over 160 individuals. Across operational systems, donor engagement, and communications strategies, I have created structure, streamlined processes, and delivered measurable impact that strengthens both community connections and organizational mission.

Across all experiences, my work is defined by strategic thinking, process-driven execution, and measurable impact. I thrive at the intersection of communications, community engagement, and healthcare, building lasting connections and initiatives that empower organizations to achieve their mission while making a meaningful difference in the communities they serve.

Senior Development Coordinator

Holy Cross Health Foundation

As a Senior Development Coordinator at Holy Cross Health, I supported the hospital’s philanthropic initiatives by strengthening the operational and communications infrastructure that enabled effective fundraising, donor engagement and community partnership. My role bridged development operations and strategic communications to ensure internal systems and external engagement efforts aligned with the hospital’s mission.

I managed key operational components of the foundation’s fundraising efforts, including overseeing CRM and donor data management, coordinating gift processing and acknowledgments, maintaining reporting systems, and streamlining internal workflows that supported development and communications teams. Through collaboration with leadership, I helped ensure the administrative and logistical systems behind fundraising initiatives operated efficiently and accurately.

In addition to operational management, I supported communication and cultivation initiatives that connected the hospital with donors, patients and the broader community. My work included developing communication materials such as press releases, event scripts, training resources and social media content, while supporting sponsorship engagements, donor events and recognition initiatives highlighting the impact of philanthropy in healthcare.

I also contributed to special projects, including the development and launch of a Grateful Patient Program designed to strengthen relationships between patients, caregivers and the hospital while supporting philanthropic growth. This initiative required cross-department collaboration to develop program branding, physician engagement tools, referral processes, training materials and implementation strategies.

Communication Specialist

NC OSHERC & The Carolina Center

North Carolina Occupational Safety Health Education and Research Center and The Carolina Center for Healthy Work Design and Worker Well-Being

After relocating to Florida, I continued my work in occupational safety and health communications by serving part-time with the North Carolina Occupational Safety and Health Education and Research Center (NC OSHERC) and The Carolina Center for Healthy Work Design and Worker Well-Being. In this role, I applied the same strategic framework to strengthen and expand the Centers’ communications presence, enhancing visibility for its academic programs, research initiatives and student opportunities.

I supported digital content development, streamlined messaging across platforms, and implemented structured communication processes to ensure consistency and long-term sustainability was present for both organizations and their overlapping projects. This work allowed the centers to maintain a cohesive and professional digital footprint while engaging students, faculty and industry partners.

The Carolina Center

The Carolina Center for Healthy Work Design and Worker Well-Being

The Carolina Center for Healthy Work Design and Worker Well-being is one of 10 Centers of Excellence for Total Worker Health® funded by the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH). My role with the Center was part of a competitive graduate grant program that provided full tuition coverage and a housing stipend, enabling me to complete my master’s degree debt-free, while maintaining my role at Align Technology.

As Communications Specialist, I built the Center’s communications infrastructure from the ground up. When I began, the organization’s only established channel was its website. I led the strategic expansion of its digital footprint, launching and integrating webinars, blog content, social media platforms and structured communication workflows to create a cohesive, sustainable and research-aligned communications ecosystem. In addition to developing short- and long-term strategies, I managed day-to-day messaging and content execution to ensure consistency, visibility and long-term scalability.

iTero North America Marketing Team

Align Technology

I worked with Align Technology from the summer of 2021 through March 2023, beginning as a marketing intern before continuing part-time throughout the remainder of my undergraduate and graduate studies. During this time, I collaborated with cross-functional teams across North America to support marketing and communication strategies for Align’s professional customer segments.

My work focused on developing professional marketing content, supporting product campaign strategies, and implementing brand initiatives that strengthened communication between the company and its provider network. I conducted market research, helped develop consumer-facing sales tools, and contributed to campaign planning for new product launches and integrations.

Working across multiple teams and reporting to four different managers, I gained experience supporting initiatives across marketing channels while learning how large-scale communication strategies are implemented within a global healthcare technology organization.

Research and Stewardship Intern

Coastal Reserve

Federal-State Partnership, NOAA & NC Division of Coastal Management

During my time with the Coastal Reserve, I assisted in coastal management by monitoring sea turtle nets, collecting data for national databases, and conducting research along the eastern coast. I assisted in sea turtle nest protection, a bird-banding program to track and protect endangered or threatened shorebirds and gathered information on terrapin turtles in marsh areas for research.

As the only communications intern, I had the opportunity to collaborate on and gather information for community outreach and environmental
communication efforts.
