Communications Specialist
The Carolina Center for Healthy Work Design and Worker Well-being
The Carolina Center for Healthy Work Design and Worker Well-being is one of 10 Centers of Excellence for Total Worker Health® funded by the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH). I functioned as their communications specialist, where I was in charge of developing short and long-term communication plans. I also developed tools and addressed the immediate day-to-day communications needs of the Carolina Center.

Align Technology
I worked with Align from the summer of 2021 – March 2023. During my time at Align Technology, I have had the opportunity to collaborate with key stakeholders and cross-functional partners to develop professional marketing content for Align’s customer segments. Within my internship, I have had four different managers and have gained experience across all channels in North America.
Some of my day-to-day activities included implementing branding strategies, developing campaign strategies for new products and integrations, conducting market research, and developing consumer-facing tools for sales and other teams within the company.
Research and Stewardship Intern
Federal-State Partnership, NOAA & NC Division of Coastal Management (Coastal Reserve)
During my time with the Coastal Reserve, I assisted in coastal management by monitoring sea turtle nets, collecting data for national databases, and conducting research along the eastern coast. I assisted in a bird banding program to track and protect endangered or threatened shorebirds and gathered information on terrapin turtles in marsh areas for research.
As the only communications intern, I had the opportunity to collaborate on and gather information for community outreach and environmental
communication efforts.
